Teacher’s Assistant

Montessori Renaissance Academy is always accepting applications for Teacher’s Assistants who are caring, motivated, and possess a love of encouraging children to learn and grow.

Montessori Renaissance Academy is a private, nonprofit Montessori school located in the north metropolitan suburb of Anoka, MN. For more than 22 years, we have been providing children from 16 months through 8th grade with an alternative to more traditional schools.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work closely with the lead teacher to help implement the Montessori curriculum in a safe and nurturing classroom.
  • Must be able to ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Interact and communicate effectively as a team with colleagues within the classroom and school.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a Montessori setting is preferred, but is not required
  • Some form of continuing education
  • Minimum 1 year of childcare experience

Custodian/Maintenance

Montessori Renaissance Academy is seeking a part-time Custodian who is caring, motivated, and likes working in an environment with children.

Montessori Renaissance Academy is a private, nonprofit Montessori school located in the north metropolitan suburb of Anoka, MN. For more than 22 years, we have been providing children from 16 months through 9th grade with an alternative to more traditional schools.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Empty garbage and recycling
  • Maintaining grounds, routine and projects
  • Routine cleaning of assigned areas
  • Taking inventory and stocking of needed supplies
  • Spot cleaning as needed
  • Event set up/take down
  • Help with small repairs
  • Routine maintenance and repair
  • Help with other projects with interior and exterior maintenance
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned or needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Communication skills needed while working with other employees
  • Willing to close the building
